Carrying In National Parks in Florida

What does this mean?  It means that you can carry in National Parks in the State of Florida.  However, you must have a CWFL or recognized out of state license.  Florida law controls.   Therefore, you must carry in accordance with Florida law.  Carry in allotted campsites or in outdoor areas such as hiking trails is permitted.   However, carry in Federal buildings such as visitor centers, ranger stations, or restrooms is prohibited.   Therefore, you may not carry in any of these buildings.  Further, any private vendor can prohibit carrying firearms into their business.  Places such as gift shops and restaurants may or may not allow you to carry.  However, these are not automatically off limits, therefore, keep your eyes peeled for any signs that indicate firearms are not allowed.

As always, it is a safe bet to check the website of or call the National Park or refuge you are traveling to or visiting prior to your trip.  Happy and safe exploring!
