Christine B. Vazquez is an associate attorney at Katz & Phillips, P.A. who focuses on the defense of individual firearm rights, criminal and self-defense law, as well as immigrant rightand advocacy.  As a bilingual attorney, Ms. Vazquez welcomes cultural diversity and is an advocate for the zealous defense of all clients. Ms. Vazquez is of Cuban and Puerto Rican descent, with a passion for providing justice to all individuals caught in a legal crossfire.  For the past two years, she has worked at Katz & Phillips, P.A. helping U.S. LawShield members and firm clients with firearms and self-defense cases.  During this time, she has received training in evaluating use of force decision-making, assessing imminent threats, and human performance and the use of force.

Ms. Vazquez’s early career began as a certified teacher in the state of Florida where she served as a union representative and was nominated Teacher of the Year for three consecutive years.  During law school, she served as the President of the Hispanic American Law Student Association and Vice President of the Immigration Law Society.  Ms. Vazquez furthered her studies in Salamanca, Spain, and later, at the UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education in Delft, Netherlands.  Ms. Vazquez completed her legal internships with the Carolina Refugee Resettlement Agency in Charlotte, NC and with the School Board of St. Lucie County, Florida.

Pro Bono Services

Ms. Vazquez has volunteered her time as a translator for unaccompanied minors in immigration court in Orlando, FL.  She also represented clients while in law school at her school’s Advanced Immigration Clinic.
